|Grey Daze - ...No Sun Today (1997) [Original Independent Album]|
|Description||From 1993 to 1998, Chester Bennington sang in a band called Grey Daze. Together, they released two independent albums: Wake Me (1994) and ...No Sun Today (1997).|
Sometime in 2002, their guitarist Bobby Benish as diagnosed with a brain tumor and the band announced a reunion show to raise money for his treatment. Drummer Sean Dowdell also worked on a re-mixed version of ...No Sun Today with the intent to raise money to support Bobby and a version of Wake Me would follow. However, Chester's commitment to Linkin Park and Warner Bros. Records forced the band to cancel their plans.
A second reunion was planned for 2017 with new versions of their old songs in the works before Chester's tragic death in July of that year.
Following two tribute albums for their late singer, Grey Daze announced their independent albums would be receiving a widespread release on March 17, 2023. What was marketed as the original albums from the 90s turned out to be remastered versions which differ from the original albums.
On ...No Sun Today, only Sickness, Just Like Heroin (A Little Down) and The Down Syndrome were taken from the original album while the remaining tracks are taken from the unreleased 2002 version of the album which features elements not present in the original songs.
This is the original 1997 version of ...No Sun Today as ripped and shared by Nkramar in 2008 on Demonoid.
